A HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Aside sa Christmas at New Year, gusto ko talaga 'pag BIRTHDAY ko. :)

June 9, 2012, I'm 18.

First off, ginising ako nina Ate and Papa singing the Happy Birthday song with Red Ribbon birthday cake na may 22 colorful candles pa. Wow! First time ko actually magblow ng birthday candles na ganun kadami! Hahaha. Masaya pala tapos bagong gising pa.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU..."
IT'S NICE TO WAKE UP TO A BRAND NEW DAY AND TO A CHOCOLATE CAKE.
May padlock pa and all, production level. Haha.

THE KEY TO HAPPINESS HAHA

SURPRISE!

NA-GUESS KO KAAGAD KUNG ANO ITO. IT'S AN ART STUFF THAT I REALLY WANTED. HAHA OH YEAH!

Then pagkatapos, sabay-sabay kami nagbreakfast. This seldom happens. Kasi madalas tulog pa ako ng mga 7am.

Then habang nagbebreakfast, napag-usapan namin kung sa'n kami magdi-dinner. The night before, may dalawa kaming options. One is a pizza parlor/buffet restaurant along J.P. Laurel, Bajada. The other is a buffet restaurant along Cabaguio. O diba, buffet talaga, syempre.

Around 11am, there was a change of plan. Instead, doon na kami sa Saluhan Lounge and Buffet (click here for a review about the restaurant). It's along Quirino Avenue and near Sampaguita Inn. Small place lang siya if you look at it from the outside. We have passed by there several times na pero di pa namin natry kumain doon. According sa isang blog post/review about the resto, okay daw doon at maraming positive remarks about it. Kaya yun, we settled for it.

Then around 8am, Papa headed for work. Then it was time for us to go to Saluhan! Kainan na! My favorite part :D

WITH MY DAD AND ATE

I SO LOVE COLORFUL BALLOONS!!!

We stayed at Saluhan until 9PM, their closing time. Sulit na sulit ang pakals. Haha. Afterwards, ayaw pang magsiuwian, so we decided na magvideoke! I think a typical birthday celebration these days is never complete without a videoke session even just for an hour or two.

So we headed for Southern Voice (Tama ba?) near People's Park. Pero nung andun na kami, no space for new messages. Haha. Walang vacant. Oh well, it's a Saturday night kasi, so yun, may mga waiting din sa labas. Pero okay lang.

HERE WE COME, SOUTHERN VOICE!

AY MADAMI TAO.

PICTURE MUNA BAGO LUMIPAT SA GIMIK.

LIPAT NG GIMIK. WALKING DISTANCE LANG.
And twas a right decision! May vacant sa Gimik. Yey! Happiness. :))))

After 2 hours of videoke, it's time for us to go home! Mga 12mn na nun. :)

THANK YOU, FRIENDS! :)

That's it! That's how I celebrated my birthday. Basic lang na "party". Pero sobra-sobra ang happiness. Thank you, Daddy God! You're the best! Thank You for the gift of life, family, and friends.  :D

And oh btw, I'm 18, 4 YEARS AGO. :))))

WHO RUN THE WORLD? ICED TEA GIRLS!

Have you ever dared to ask for the leftover drinks of the strangers in the table next to yours the moment they finished eating and after they left? HAHA. WELL, WE DARED. :)

Actually, it was just me and Glaiza who dared to. The rest of them, itinakwil kami. HAHA. Joke. :D

By the way, that was April 1 12 and we were celebrating Glaiza's birthday. So yeah, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GLAIZA! :D

Here's what happened. After the 7 of us finished eating the BIG (*deep voice*) pizza and everyone's busy chitchatting, I looked around and noticed the half-empty pitcher of iced tea on the table next to us. The people from that table just left and the crew had not cleared their table yet. And so, I got the idea of getting their drinks.

ME: "May iced tea sa kabilang table oh."
GLAIZA: "Kunin natin!"
THEM: "Pagsure mo uy."

Glaiza was now serious enough to pirate the half-empty pitcher of iced tea. And so she asked one of the resto's crew.

GLAIZA: "Uhm excuse me, ate. Pwede namo pangayuon nang iced tea sa pikas table?"
US: (Grabeng tawa. Nahiya.)
ATE: "Sure, ma'am."
US: (Mas grabeh ang tawa.

HAHAHA. :))

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Now we dare all of you to do the same dare we dared to do. >:PPP

ONCE A FRIEND, ALWAYS A FRIEND.

Alex, Jenna, Kathrina, Mavi, Jainnie

Our extraordinary friendship blossomed when we were in Grade 5, I think? And we became closer to one another all the way to 4th Year HS.

Throughout the long years, we've been through a lot of experiences, and most of those times make us laugh each time we try to reminisce them.

We might have grown apart when we stepped into college because we got into different schools, but we never forget one another. We might have set our respective priorities in life now and are too busy to catch things up, but we know that there is a family among us that we can always get back into anytime. For me, it's like setting one another free, letting them grow in time and distance, getting surprised with the changes, and being excited and happy for one another's success.

THESE ARE MY "GOLDEN FRIENDS", AND TO ME THEY WILL FOREVER BE A FAMILY. :)
